Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced person to be our setup person to lead our coil winding production team. This key leadership position involves overseeing field winding operations, maintaining quality standards, and training team members. The ideal candidate will also be firsthand, capable of setting up and troubleshooting vintage Field winding machines and other critical equipment. Learning to do setups five employees by doing production and working with the setup person.

Primary Responsibilities

Machine Operations:

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate vintage Field winding machines (50+ years old).
  • Set up and troubleshoot field stacking press and
  • Ensure proper setup and operation of other related

Precision Work:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, calipers, and micrometers to meet production
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with

Leadership & Training:

  • Supervise a team of six employees, ensuring workflows meet production
  • Train and onboard new team members in winding techniques, equipment operation, and quality control.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimize
  • Collaborate with management to improve workflows and meet

 Safety & Organization:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience operating vintage Field winding machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and using calipers, micrometers, and blueprints.
  • Firsthand experience setting up field stackers and insulators.
  • Strong understanding of coil winding processes and electromagnetic principles.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional mindfulness and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication, training, and mentoring skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
