Primary Responsibilities

  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery deadlines, manage production schedules, and adjust as needed based on demand and resource availability.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise production personnel, assign tasks, evaluate performance, and address employee concerns.
  • Quality Control: Ensure products meet quality standards by monitoring production processes, implementing quality checks, and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Cost Management: Analyze production costs, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and procedures within the manufacturing facility to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory levels to ensure adequate supply and prevent stockouts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Track production metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as engineering, quality assurance, procurement, and sales to ensure smooth operations and meet company goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, business administration, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing management role
